Overview
Our Goals
The primary goal of ELLAS is to study the prevalence and growth of fibroids among Latina/Latinx people. We also aim to:
- Understand how health issues like obesity and blood sugar regulation may affect the growth of fibroids
- Understand the prevalence of broader reproductive health conditions among Latinas and Latinx people
- Use what we learn to help doctors and patients better understand fibroids and other reproductive health conditions
- Identify and prioritize other existing reproductive health needs to inform the future direction of reproductive health research
